A large Japanese cohort study of over 700,000 adults found that starting and maintaining a regular exercise habit was strongly linked to improved perceived sleep restfulness. People who began exercising were 37% more likely to report better sleep quality, while those who kept up their exercise routine were 23% more likely to feel rested.
